Refund & Cancellation Policy
Version 2.1 · Effective August 1, 2026
Cancellation
You can cancel any GMBC membership at any time from your customer portal. Cancellation is self-service through the portal for every payment provider we use.
When you cancel, your membership stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and it is not renewed after that. You are not charged again. Each community is a separate monthly subscription, so cancelling one does not cancel the others.
You can reactivate a cancelled membership at any time before the end of that already-paid period. Once that period has ended, starting again is a new purchase rather than a reactivation.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, we email you and retry the payment for up to 2 weeks. You can update your payment method in your customer portal at any point during that window to keep the membership. If the amount is still outstanding at the end of that window, the subscription is terminated and your membership in that community ends. A terminated subscription cannot be reactivated; you would need to purchase a new membership.
Refunds
Subscription payments are generally non-refundable, because cancelling stops all future charges and you keep the membership you already paid for through the end of that period.
We will consider a refund at our discretion in cases such as:
- Duplicate charges or a technical billing error.
- A charge taken after a cancellation request was successfully submitted.
- Unauthorised use of your payment method.
Refunds are not issued for a membership terminated because you breached the Terms of Service or the rules of the community.
How to request a refund
Email [email protected] from the email address on the subscription. Include the community name, the date and amount of the charge, and why you are requesting the refund. We do not commit to a specific response time; see the support page.
How approved refunds are processed
- A refund can only be returned to the original payment method used for the charge. It cannot be sent to a different card, a different account, or as store credit.
- We can refund all or part of a charge, but never more than the original charge amount.
- For Stripe payments, Stripe says a credit generally appears approximately 5–10 business days after initiation, depending on the bank. A refund can instead appear as a reversal, remain pending, require action for some payment methods, or fail. These are processor and financial-institution outcomes and estimates, not a GMBC guarantee.
- If an approved refund fails, GMBC reviews the processor status and arranges an appropriate next step. We do not promise a completion date or a different refund method.
- Refunds are processed in the original currency of the charge. Your issuer sets any foreign exchange rate applied, and we do not control or reimburse currency differences.
Disputes and chargebacks
If you do not recognise a charge or believe it is wrong, please contact us first at [email protected] so GMBC can work in good faith to resolve a legitimate issue before a chargeback.
If you do open a dispute with your bank, the payment provider handles it under the card network rules and we respond with our billing records. We may pause a membership while a dispute on it is open, and it may be terminated if the dispute results in the charge being reversed.
